Meet Danielle B. Wald, LMHC
Sometimes the hardest step is reaching out for help when we need it. As a therapist, it is very important to me to provide a uniquely comfortable (and at times – fun!) approach to sessions. It can be difficult to talk about some of life’s challenges, so my goal is to be there to help you through it – in a way that works and feels right for you.
We all have the tools within us to manage our mood, emotions, and relationships. My job is to empower you to identify and cultivate your strengths and interests to improve connections with yourself and others. I work in partnership with my clients to identify areas of concern and develop customized solutions to meet their unique needs.
In founding this boutique-style practice, my vision is to slow things down and provide my energy and full attention to supporting you. I offer kind, compassionate, and science-backed treatment. I entered the field of psychotherapy after completing a degree in Neuroscience and feel that my understanding of the brain and behavior shape my work. I specialize in trauma work and use modalities such as DBT, EMDR, CBT, Polyvagal Theory, and somatic approaches. Feel free to ask me about how this might be helpful for you!
All of my clients receive a private and attentive counseling experience. By keeping my practice small and intimate, you won’t get lost in the shuffle. I carry a five star rating on ZocDoc, which posts voluntary ratings from verified clients. I aim to bring a similar experience to our work together. I am proud to share that I been invited to speak at events on stress-management and mental health practices, which I’ve had the opportunity to work on with my clients as well.
Outside of Integrative Psych, you can find me spending time with my cat (who may visit during Telehealth sessions), playing the piano, going for a run, leading a youth violence prevention group, or creating a list of the best restaurants in Boston. I am originally from Miami and I hope to bring some of that warmth to therapy sessions here in Boston.
